Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) continues its visits aimed at contributing to regional development and strengthening university–industry collaboration. As part of this effort, Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem, accompanied by Aydın Provincial Director of Industry and Technology, Mr. Fatih Ulutaş, visited various institutions and companies in the Çine Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) on September 18, 2025.
During the visit, the delegation met with:
· Burak Güngör, Chairman of the Çine OSB Board of Directors
· Mehmet Tuncer, Vice Chairman of the OSB Board and Member of the Board of Kaltun Group
· Şebnem Sazan, Regional Director of OSB
· Nevreddin Şenyayla, Board Member of BİEN Building Products
· Mehmet Yunus Şahin, General Coordinator of Kaltun Group
The meetings focused on key areas of university–industry collaboration, including joint projects, student internship opportunities, academic consultancy processes, and R&D activities.
Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent emphasized that university–industry collaboration is not only about sharing knowledge and technology, but also plays a strategic role in strengthening the regional economy, fostering innovative production processes, and enhancing social welfare. He reiterated the university’s commitment to transforming scientific research and technological innovation into production, thereby enhancing the industrial sector's competitiveness and contributing to the national economy.
“In line with our Research University vision, ADU continues to take a leading role in areas such as the production of qualified knowledge, development of advanced technologies, integration of R&D projects with industry, and support for the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Thanks to strong partnerships with the business world, our university contributes not only to regional development but also to sustainable economic growth on a national scale, taking firm steps toward becoming a science and technology hub of the future,” he stated.
Rector Kent also highlighted the benefits of the 3+1 Workplace-Based Vocational Training Model implemented at ADU’s vocational schools, which equips students with both academic and practical skills, better preparing them for professional life. He further noted that numerous joint projects are currently underway with companies in the ADU Technopark, and that the momentum in university–industry collaboration will continue to grow in the coming period.
