International Postdoctoral Research Project titled "The Effect of Changing Precipitation Regimes Caused by Climate Change on Plant Growth: A Multi-Organizational Approach Involving Physiology, Biochemistry and Transcriptomics to Uncover Mechanisms at the Molecular Level" of Res. Assist. Dr. Uğur Tan from the Department of Field Crops of the Faculty of Agriculture of ADU, has been awarded a grant by TUBITAK.
Res. Assist. Dr. Uğur Tan will carry out his project with IMPRES (Integrated Molecular Plant Physiology Research) group, one of the leading research groups in Europe, at the University of Antwerp in Belgium for 12 months. The research group, which is particularly experienced in analyzing plant responses to environmental responses at multiple organizational levels, aims to use the knowledge gained from the project to contribute to the development of strategies to mitigate the detrimental effects of climate-induced fluctuations on crop production.
The project's multi-faceted objectives include a comprehensive investigation of plant responses to changing precipitation patterns using a multi-organizational approach encompassing physiology, biochemistry, transcriptomics (gene ex
