TUBİTAK 1005 Supports Our Faculty Member's Project for the World's First Diagnostic Kit

The research project titled "Development of an Aptamer-Based Diagnostic Kit for Cervical Cancer Screenings," led by Prof. Dr. Özge Çevik from our University's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry, has been awarded support under the TUBİTAK 1005 National New Ideas and Products Research Support Program.

In this project, carried out in collaboration with industry, researchers aim to develop a new biotechnological approach for cancer screenings and transform the data obtained from ongoing studies into a product. The diagnostic kit, to be developed for the first time in the world, will provide rapid results within 10 minutes. The TUBİTAK 1005 project, to be conducted under our University's leadership, will significantly contribute to the development of innovative local diagnostic kits in our country.
