Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aydın and Prof. Dr. Ali Akyol, Secretary General Baki Aslantaş, Deans, School Directors, Heads of Departments, University staff and their families participated in the event.
The staff who came together in a warm and friendly atmosphere expressed their satisfaction with the event.
Following the recitation of Quran by Necmettin Parlak from the Faculty of Sports Sciences, they broke their fasts with the fast-breaking prayer of Hüseyin Turgut, the Rector's Advisor.
In his speech at the event, Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir expressed his joy at sharing the happiness of being together with the ADU family at the event with our unity and solidarity together with feelings of love, tolerance and solidarity in the month of Ramadan. He also said "Fasting during the month of Ramadan is a key to genuine and sincere glorification."
This holy month in which the best examples of our faith and culture are exhibited, when compassion and mercy are strong, offer us great opportunities to strengthen our human virtues. Dear Colleagues, we are a big family. We are partners in each other's joy and grief. Our intentions, our goals and our ideals are one. I know that you are at a level that cannot be overlooked in your efforts to realize our values, change transformation and vision framework plan in the future from the day we began active duty. With nearly five thousand administrative and academic staff, we will serve by being organized, activating our technical knowledge and ideas, and avoiding sensations and distortions.”
After their speeches, Aytekin Kandemir and Udi Emre Üstgül from the Department of Fine Arts in the Faculty of Education presented selections from Turkish Sufi Music. At the end of the programme that continued with the whirling dervish, Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir, thanked the staff for their participation in the programme by saying goodbye to everyone.
