The Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akyol, who expressed that the visit is important in terms of strengthening the fraternal relations between two countries and promoting a higher number of Bangladeshi students to prefer Turkish universities for their higher education by providing communication between Bangladeshi students with universities in Turkey, emphasized that Bangladesh is also seen as a brother country like Azerbaijan and Pakistan due to their help and support during the Liberty War.
Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam, who also taught South Asian Studies at a foundation university in Istanbul, stated that relations with other Turkish universities offering a high-quality education need to be strengthened and a higher number of Bangladeshi students may come to Turkey for their education by underlining that he visited 55 Turkish universities and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the purpose of bilateral cooperation between Istanbul Technical and Yıldız Technical Universities, and universities in Bangladesh. Islam expressed that the number of Bangladeshi students studying in Turkey, which was 100 two and a half years ago, increased to 600 these days and mentioned about its positive effects on the relations between the two countries.
