Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir expressing that Aydın Adnan Menderes University is the only state university which the Republic of Qatar has signed a protocol with, stated “Republic of Turkey considers Republic of Qatar as a brother country. If this is provided at a high level, we have to do our best in terms of education.” and also said he was quite pleased to welcome the ambassador.
Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir expressed that he was pleased to draw attention to the children with Autism and Down Syndrome with a friendship match between the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Parliamentary Sports Club Football Team and the Football Team of the Embassy of Qatar. Expressing that the Center for Early Diagnosis of Autism and Down Syndrome which will go into action in the Research and Training Hospital of the University will increase the studies on diagnosis and treatment in this field, Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir stated that he cares about the activities for children to take an active role in the society and that he also has a project on the establishment of Hypnotherapy Center entitled Rehabilitation and integration of children with autism.
The University will Serve As a Locomotive in Aydın
Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir stated “Universities have a unique structure. If the university becomes social, it also progresses scientifically. We'll prove to Turkey that this university is a conscious university in this sense. This university, founded in 1992, will serve as a locomotive in Aydın.”
Expressing that this is a very strong university in agriculture and animal husbandry, Qatar Ambassador Salem Mubarak Al-Shafi stated that he cares very much about the friendship match that will take place in order to raise awareness for children with Autism and Down Syndrome. The Ambassador of Qatar Salem Mubarak Al-Shafi, who was informed about the scientific activities of our university, wished that the cooperation activities would continue.
The visit ended with the presentation of gifts and good wishes of the Qatar Ambassador Salem Mubarak Al-Shafi and Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir.
