Rector Meets with Students: University Goals and Student Expectations Discussed

Our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, met with students on December 5, 2025, at the TÖMER Conference Hall to discuss the university’s goals, ongoing initiatives, and students’ expectations.

During the meeting, the Rector emphasized the institutional accreditation process and highlighted that all ongoing efforts aim to enhance students’ international competitiveness after graduation. He stated that student opinions and suggestions play a vital role in the university’s goal of ranking among the top 10 universities in Türkiye.

Students shared their demands on various topics, particularly campus physical improvements, classroom and laboratory infrastructure, the needs of student clubs, printing services, and activities aimed at raising earthquake awareness.

Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent noted that all requests would be carefully evaluated and stated that efforts would continue to improve campus facilities, expand social spaces, and support student organizations. The program provided a productive consultation environment that contributed to strengthening the student-centered and participatory governance approach at our university.
