Patent Granted for Agricultural Machinery Digital Technology Invented by Our Faculty Member

A research and development project conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. İsmail Böğrekci, faculty member at the Faculty of Engineering, Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU), has been officially granted a patent by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

The invention, developed in collaboration with Alpler Agricultural Machinery Industry and Trade Inc., was initiated in 2018 and officially patented in 2025. It introduces an innovative system that measures the draft forces generated by the interaction between tractors/agricultural machinery and the soil in three dimensions, providing real-time data on soil resistance.

This remarkable achievement stands out as a successful example of university–industry collaboration and represents a significant advancement in terms of agricultural productivity, energy efficiency, and regional development.
