The President of the Council of Higher Education (YOK), Prof. Dr. Erol Ozvar, described this initiative, which aims to present universities' scientific research to society more effectively, as a significant step toward making scientific knowledge accessible to a broader audience. He stated:
"Through science communication, we aim to amplify the scientific output of our universities, making it heard loudly both by the Turkish public and the global community. Additionally, we seek to build a 'Science Homeland' through the academic contributions of Turkish scientists around the world."
During the meeting, which featured a presentation by Idris Kardas, Coordinator of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications Disinformation Combat Center, discussions were held regarding the establishment process of the Science Communication Office and potential initiatives for setting up similar offices within universities.
