During the visit, our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, was accompanied by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Özarslan and Deputy Secretary-General Tanfer Bilge. Acting Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Cavit Kum; Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gültekin and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkmen Tuğrul Ekipmen; as well as academic and administrative staff were also present.
In his presentation during the meeting, Acting Dean Prof. Dr. Cavit Kum provided general information about the faculty and evaluated the 2024 activities. The meeting covered education and training processes, service and structural developments, research activities, as well as the faculty's goals and needs. Following this, Accreditation Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Selim Sekkin gave an overview of the national and international accreditations held by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
After the meeting, our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, conducted inspections at the Anatomy Practice Hall, accompanied by Prof. Dr. İlknur Dabanoğlu, Head of the Department of Basic Sciences. He also visited the Necropsy Practice Hall and the Pathology Museum, guided by Prof. Dr. Recai Tunca, Head of the Department of Pathology.
Receiving comprehensive information on the ongoing efforts to further advance the university, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent emphasized that the success trajectory will continue to rise with the dedicated contributions of academic and administrative staff. Additionally, he was briefed on the services provided by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s Research and Application Animal Hospital. He also assessed the scientific productivity and academic development of the faculty, affirming that all available resources will be mobilized to support education, healthcare, and research activities.
