Our University Achieved Significant Success in TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B Student Project Programs

The application results of the 2024 TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B University Students Research Projects Support Programs, conducted by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), have been announced. According to the results, our university has achieved significant success in the field of student projects.

During the 2024 application period, a total of 355 project applications were submitted by our students, including 339 projects within the scope of 2209-A and 16 projects within the scope of 2209-B. Out of these applications, 202 projects were entitled to receive support, resulting in a high acceptance rate of 57%.

Compared to the previous year:

  • The number of applications increased threefold,
  • While the number of supported projects increased fourfold.

This remarkable increase clearly demonstrates that our university continues to steadily develop its research culture and underlines the effectiveness of the student-academician collaboration.

When examined on a faculty basis:

  • The Faculty of Engineering stood out with 44 accepted projects,
  • The Faculty of Agriculture contributed with 19 projects,
  • The Faculty of Science with 17 projects,
  • The Faculty of Medicine with 13 projects,
  • And the Çine Vocational School with 12 projects, making significant contributions to the process.

The success demonstrated by various faculties and vocational schools in this process supports our university's determination to strengthen its interdisciplinary research ecosystem and its aim to advance its research vision.
