Muhammet Emin Çakır, a student at our University’s Faculty of Sport Sciences, has achieved a remarkable international success. Competing at the International Yaşar Doğu, Vehbi Emre, and Hamit Kaplan Wrestling Tournament held in Kocaeli, Çakır triumphed over all his opponents in the 55 kg category and claimed the gold medal.
This prestigious tournament, recognized as one of the world’s leading wrestling events, saw Çakır rise to the top of the podium. With this victory, he has secured the right to compete in the Senior World Wrestling Championships, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, from September 13 to 21, 2025.
