A “Cooperation Protocol on the Provision of İŞKUR Campus Services” was signed between our university and the Aydın Provincial Directorate of the Employment and Labor Office (İŞKUR) with the aim of supporting university students’ career planning and employment processes.
The Rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, visited Abdulkadir Soylu, Acting Provincial Director of the Aydın Employment and Labor Office, at his office. During the visit, they discussed opportunities for collaboration aimed at helping students prepare for the labor market, gain professional experience, and take better advantage of employment opportunities.
Following the meeting, within the scope of a protocol signed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, and Abdulkadir Soylu, Acting Provincial Director of İŞKUR in Aydın, it was decided to establish an “İŞKUR Campus” area on our university’s campus. It was planned that İŞKUR Campus services will be made available to students through the Career Center at Aydın Adnan Menderes University.
Within the scope of protocol, Career and Vocational Counselors assigned by İŞKUR will provide individual and group counseling services to students on our university campus as part of the established program. As part of this initiative, students will receive guidance on job search skills, curriculum vitae preparation, interview processes, and career planning.
As part of the İŞKUR Campus initiative, information sessions and application guidance will also be provided regarding active workforce programs such as the İŞKUR Youth Program, the On-the-Job Training Program, and the National Internship Program. Efforts will be made to connect students with suitable job and internship opportunities in line with the needs of the industry. In addition, İŞKUR will conduct informational activities on career days, job fairs, and various student events held at our university.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, speaking at the protocol signing ceremony, emphasized the importance of university-public sector collaboration for students’ career development, stating, “As a university, our primary goal is not only to equip our students with theoretical knowledge but also to prepare them for the future as well-rounded, confident individuals who meet the expectations of the business world. Thanks to this partnership we have established with İŞKUR, our students will gain exposure to the job market during their studies. I hope this protocol will be beneficial for our university and our students.”
