Infantry Commando Major Murat Kemal Yetişen, a native of Aydın, who was martyred in a clash in northern Iraq, was laid to rest with military honors and prayers at Kemer Cemetery following a funeral ceremony at Bey Mosque, attended by thousands.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Aegean Army and Garrison Commander General İrfan Özsert, Aydın Governor Yakup Canbolat, our University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem, provincial officials, the martyr’s comrades-in-arms, military and political representatives, and thousands of citizens.
