The Tourism Management and Travel Management departments within our University's Faculty of Tourism have been included in the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TYÇ), certifying the quality of their education and achieving significant international recognition.
Under the TYÇ, which was established in alignment with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), both departments have obtained the right to display the TYÇ logo on their diplomas, thereby officially certifying themselves as programs that offer education in line with European standards.
The departments in question, accredited by the Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council (TURAK), the national accreditation body authorized in the field of tourism by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) and the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), have been included among programs with quality assurance. This development has enabled the departments to become a strong reference point in both academic and sectoral fields.
Thanks to this prestigious achievement, certified with the TYÇ logo, graduates' diplomas are more easily recognized internationally, particularly in European countries, increasing their employment opportunities abroad and providing significant advantages in horizontal and vertical transfers in mobility programs such as Erasmus+.
Prof. Osman Nuri Özdoğan, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Tourism stated that the accreditation processes for the Tourism Guiding and Food and Beverage Management departments within the Faculty of Tourism are being carried out in a planned and determined manner. Prof. Dr. Özdoğan stated that after the successful completion of these processes, the goal is to have all programs within the faculty accredited by 2026, emphasizing that the quality-focused efforts being carried out in this direction will further increase the faculty's visibility and desirability in the national and international arena.
This qualified success has also made significant contributions to Aydın Adnan Menderes University's internationalization vision. With this development, which provides a strategic advantage at the institutional level in terms of academic collaborations and student exchange programs to be carried out with universities in Europe, our University has once again demonstrated that it is a reliable and preferred higher education institution not only on a national scale but also within the European Higher Education Area.
In his evaluation of the matter, our Rector Prof. Bülent Kent, PhD stated, “Our university’s quality and accreditation efforts have begun to yield concrete results in terms of enhancing international visibility and institutional reputation. The success achieved by our Faculty of Tourism is not limited to its own field but serves as an example for the entire university. I would like to thank all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process.”
