International Project Meeting by the Faculty of Education

The 4th International Transnational Project Meeting of Erasmus Adult Education Strategic Partnership Project, “Breaking the Glass Ceiling For Women Administrators”, organized under the coordination of the Faculty of Education was held in the city of Valencia, hosted by AMICS, one of the project partners, between April 11-12, 2019.

Representing the project team in the 4th transnational meeting of the project; Prof. Dr. Ruhi Sarpkaya, Assoc. Dr. Pınar Yengin Sarpkaya and Res. Ast. Burcu Altun participated in the meeting.

The project, which was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ruhi Sarpkaya, a faculty member in the Faculty of Education, was inaugurated on March 28 – 29, 2018 in Aydın. The second transnational meeting of the project held on July 26-27, 2018 was hosted by its partner in Germany, Education Mobility Grid. The third transnational meeting of the project was held in Palermo, Italy on November 29 - 30, 2018 hosted by CEIPES.

During the two-day meeting, the last four months were evaluated. Within this scope, joint presentations were given on the management process, budget and dissemination activities of the project and ideas were exchanged. The realization process of the “Glass Ceiling Education Programme”, which is the “2nd Intellectual Output” and was prepared in accordance with the “1st Intellectual Output Report” of the project, was discussed. The current process of training and the preparation processes of the stakeholders for the education were also discussed.

Information was given about the mentor training process to be realized within the scope of the “3rd Intellectual Output” of the project after the training which will be completed by the end of May, and the distribution of the tasks was realized.

The project, which will end in December 2019, has 7 partners in total. The partners are our university, the Project coordinator and Aydın Provincial Directorate of National Education, Aydın Cultural Development Association, Education Mobility Grid (Germany), Bragamob (Portugal), CEIPES (Italy) and AMICS (Spain). The total budget of the European Union project, which will last two years, is 170,240 Euros.

The project's fifth transnational meeting is scheduled to take place in July in Braga, hosted by the Portuguese partner Bragamob.
