This year, the Faculty of Communication of Aydın Adnan Menderes University made it to the semi-finals with 2 documentary films at the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA2018)-a global digital media competition for student creators-, out of eight thousand and one hundred six applications from 94 countries, a record number of participants.
It was pleasing that two projects from our Faculty of Communication made it to the semi-finals from the seven total in Turkey. This competition, where university students took part from all over the world in the fields of art, design, media and communication, is known to be one of the most prestigious competitions in the world. In the competition, in which getting through the semi-finals is considered to be a great success, Turkey is being represented by seven projects, two out of which are from the Faculty of Communication of Aydın Adnan Menderes University.
A short documentary by Bayram KÜÇÜK titled “Half Century” filmed in consultation with Assist. Prof. Dr. Pelin Erdal AYTEKİN and another one by Mustafa APAYDIN and Uğur DUYMUŞ titled “Nesin Mathematics Village” made it to the semi-finals. Thus, the Faculty of Communication of Aydın Adnan Menderes University hit headlines with two projects in international arena.
