The groundbreaking ceremony for the new cafeteria, which will be built next to the Emergency Department building at our University Hospital, was held on August 5, 2025. The cafeteria, which will be operated by our University's Economic Operations Directorate, was designed to provide a modern and comfortable social space for patients, their families, and our staff.
The Polyclinic, Ibn Sina, and Emergency Service cafeterias are currently operating on the hospital campus. In 2024, the visitor cafeteria, which had not been used for a long time, was renovated and opened as a modern cafeteria with a closed area of 650 m².
This year, a new cafeteria project was launched to replace the existing Emergency cafeteria, which has no indoor seating area and operates 24/7, to provide more comfortable service to patients, their relatives, and our staff. This new cafeteria, which will have a total floor area of 250 m², has the capacity to accommodate approximately 200 people at the same time. The cost of the project, whose tender process has been completed, amounted to 4,390,000TRY.
