Great Success for Our Students at the Black Sea Fish Festival

Students from the Culinary Arts Program at our university’s Kuşadası Davutlar Vocational School achieved significant success at the Black Sea Fish Festival, held in Constan59;a, Romania, from September 3–7, 2026. Representing our university under the coordination of the Turkish and World Cuisines Research and Application Center (TÜDAM), the students were honored with the “Best in Best” title, the event’s most prestigious award.

Under the mentorship of TÜDAM Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Emrah Köksal Sezgin, students Elif Cankurt, Eyyüp Sezgin, and Cemilenur Aydın from the Culinary Arts Program at Kuşadası Davutlar Vocational School outperformed teams from 14 countries to win three gold medals and the championship trophy.

On the competition table prepared by the students, the regional flavors of Aydın and Turkish cuisine were presented to the international jury with creative presentations. As a result of the evaluations, our team, which ranked at the top in all categories, successfully represented our university and our country on the international stage with this achievement.

This success, a significant indicator of ADÜ’s education and practice-oriented efforts in the field of gastronomy on the international stage, also contributed to the students’ ability to showcase their professional knowledge and skills in an international competition setting.
