Great Success by Our Students at the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games

Students from our Faculty of Sport Sciences achieved outstanding results at the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, bringing significant honors to our country and making us proud.

  • Halil Yılmazer, competing in the men’s hammer throw, won the gold medal with a throw of 74.70 meters.
  • Mehmet Çelik, competing in the 1500-meter race, finished second with a time of 3:44.50, earning the silver medal.
  • Özlem Becerek, representing our country in the women’s discus throw, won the bronze medal with a distance of 55.56 meters.
  • Another student, Mustafa Kemal Ay, advanced to the final round after strong performances in the 100-meter heats and semifinals and finished 5th in the final, achieving a notable result despite an injury.

Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent stated:
