The Faculty of Theology of our University, which started its activities in the 2024-2025 academic year, started project studies in order to integrate artificial intelligence and religious education with the curriculum by realizing one of the firsts in the religious education process.
The Faculty of Theology, which started education by accepting its first students in the 2024-2025 academic year, started infrastructure studies in order to increase the quality of education of our students and for our University to be among the firsts by working on this issue. Under the leadership of Deputy Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Department of Religious Education Asst. Prof. Dr. Yakup Kaya, the project titled “Use of Artificial Intelligence as a Content Creation Method in Religious Education and Personalized Learning Tool ChatGPT”, to which Elif Eliyatkın, who works on the use of social media and artificial intelligence, and Head of Islamic History and Arts Department and Head of Turkish Religious Music Department Asst. Prof. Dr. İrfan Yiğit also contributed, was initiated.
Within the scope of the project, first of all, academic studies were initiated on how artificial intelligence can be used in religious education and how artificial intelligence can be used in content production in the Faculty curriculum. By reaching the stage of completing the article studies on the use of artificial intelligence in religious education, the article study will create the infrastructure of the “Use of Artificial Intelligence as a Content Creation Method in Religious Education and Personalized Learning Tool ChatGPT” to be implemented in the Faculty.
During the project process, the project will be implemented in all departments of the Faculty.
