Prof. Dr. E. Didem Evci Kiraz, Faculty Member of the Faculty of Medicine of our University, participated in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP) hosted by Azerbaijan, where all parties such as decision-makers, scientists, non-governmental organizations working on climate change in the world came together.
More than 70,000 participants from nearly 200 countries attended the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29). Representing Türkiye, Prof. Dr. E. Didem Evci Kiraz, Faculty Member of the Faculty of Medicine of our University, explained the importance of evaluating highly vulnerable populations and what needs to be done in the future with the understanding of climate and health with her academic identity. In the panel organized by UNFPA Türkiye for young people and women, who are among the groups that will be most affected by climate change, Prof. Evci Kiraz drew the attention of climate parties to the principles of health for all and health in every policy.
