Faculty Member Invited as Honorary Member by the WHO European Healthy Cities Network

Prof. Dr. E. Didem Evci Kiraz, a faculty member of the Department of Public Health within the Division of Internal Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of Aydın Adnan Menderes University, has been invited to serve as an Honorary Member of the Scientific Committee within the framework of Phase VIII (2026–2030) of the World Health Organization (WHO) European Healthy Cities Network.

Having carried out scientific and institutional collaborations with the WHO for nearly 30 years in the fields of urban health, healthy cities, environmental health, public health, and climate health, Prof. Dr. Evci Kiraz stated that this invitation is of great significance as it represents international recognition of her long-standing contributions.

In her remarks regarding the invitation, Prof. Dr. E. Didem Evci Kiraz expressed that during Phase VIII she will continue to provide scientific contributions and strategic support to the WHO European Healthy Cities Network, and to contribute to strengthening the Healthy Cities vision. She also stated that she is honored to take part in efforts aimed at building healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable cities.
