Cooperation Protocol Signed Between ADU and the University of Telecommunications and Post (UTP), Bulgaria

A cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening academic and scientific collaboration was signed on February 13, 2026, between Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) and the University of Telecommunications and Post (UTP) in Bulgaria.

The protocol was signed by ADU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent and Prof. Dr. Miglena Temelkova, President of the Council of Rectors of Bulgaria and Rector of the University of Telecommunications and Post (UTP). The agreement aims to implement comprehensive cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of education, research, and internationalization.

Within the framework of the protocol, it is planned to carry out student exchange programs at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels; promote academic and administrative staff mobility; develop joint research projects; and organize academic events such as courses, seminars, symposiums, and conferences. The areas of cooperation also include the exchange of academic materials and knowledge, as well as joint studies within graduate and research programs. To ensure the effective and systematic implementation of activities, both universities will appoint program coordinators and establish regular communication and reporting mechanisms through their international offices.

Evaluating the protocol, Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent expressed his wishes that the agreement be beneficial for both institutions and stated:

“Through this cooperation, in line with our University’s internationalization vision, we aim to further strengthen our academic ties with higher education institutions in Europe and to increase joint scientific output.”
