Bozdoğan Vocational School Signs Protocol with AKUA-MED Within the 3+1 Workplace-Based Education Model

Bozdoğan Vocational School of Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) has signed a cooperation protocol with AKUA-MED Aquaculture in order to reinforce students’ professional knowledge and skills through sector-based applications.

Implemented within the framework of the Workplace-Based Education Model (3+1) applied at Bozdoğan Vocational School, the protocol aims to enable students to spend one academic semester receiving hands-on training directly within enterprises. In this context, students will take part in different departments of AKUA-MED Aquaculture and gain on-site experience in production processes, quality control practices, and sectoral operations.

Through this collaboration, it is intended that students apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in their courses to real-world settings, enhance their professional competencies, and be trained in line with the qualified workforce profile required by the sector. At the same time, strengthening students’ work discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving skills is also among the primary objectives.

The protocol, which further strengthens university–industry collaboration, is expected to contribute both to students’ employability and to regional development. In this regard, Bozdoğan Vocational School of Aydın Adnan Menderes University continues to prepare its students for professional life as well-equipped and career-ready individuals through its practice-oriented education approach.
