Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir, expressing his pleasure in being one of the capitals of the university students by taking the second place in the research, stated that our University is the biggest public family of Aydın and that they are ready to take part in the projects that integrate the university with the people.
We are Ready to Join Forces of the City and the University
Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Selcuk Aldemir stated that “Young people are the dynamics of a city and we are ready to cooperate with many sectors with our work force. We can give an example of the protocol aimed at mapping the urban green area between our Faculty of Agriculture and Koçarlı Municipality recently. I believe that we will achieve great success by joining the forces of our city and the University.”.
The data used in the research were taken from 35 thousand 715 students studying in 188 universities, including 123 states and 65 foundations in 2019. According to the results of the research, Aydın ranked second in the Student-Friendly University Cities Research, while the University ranked 46th in the General Satisfaction of State Universities.
This research, which aims to measure the satisfaction of university students from the city they study and the people, lists the university cities according to the degree of satisfaction of the students. The research measures the satisfaction of university students in the city in terms of transportation opportunities, feeling safe in the city, entertainment, sports, relations with tradesmen, public attitudes towards students, travel, social, artistic and cultural activities and the solution of health problems.
