Our University has achieved a significant success in the 2025 Webometrics World University Ranking results by rising to the 2,034th place among 32,000 higher education institutions worldwide. In the national ranking, Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) ranked 54th in Turkey, continuing to improve its position each year and increasing its presence in the digital world.
Webometrics is a ranking system that evaluates the digital visibility, open access policies, and academic impact of universities worldwide. It analyzes universities' performance on the web through key indicators such as visibility, openness, and excellence, highlighting ADU’s growing success in the digital environment.
ADU’s rise is especially remarkable in the areas of visibility (number of backlinks) and excellence (impact of scientific publications). While our University ranked 56th in Turkey in 2023, it moved up to 54th in 2024 and maintained the same position in 2025. In the global ranking, ADU climbed 269 places, from 2,303rd in 2023 to 2,034th in 2025.
This success in the Webometrics ranking reflects the impact of our University's digital transformation efforts and academic achievements. The increase in the number of backlinks to our website and the wider online presence of our research also contribute to ADU's global recognition.
