An AI-Powered University-Industry Matchmaking Platform Developed at ADÜ Technopark

Ibrahim Engin Öztürk and Mehmet Can Hanaylı, faculty members at ADU Aydın Vocational School, launched the sanayiakademi.com platform as a result of their work conducted at ADÜ Technopark Inc. Equipped with an AI-powered matching infrastructure, the platform aims to strengthen university-industry collaboration by bringing together academic expertise with the industry’s unmet needs.

By analyzing the technical and operational challenges faced by industrial organizations and the areas of expertise of academics through a data-driven approach, the platform facilitates the alignment of existing academic research with industry needs. The goal is to identify academics who have developed—or are capable of developing—solutions tailored to the needs of industrial organizations through an AI-powered algorithm. This contributes to the faster and more efficient execution of time-consuming research, communication, and matching phases in university-industry collaboration processes.

The sanayiakademi.com platform, developed and implemented within ADÜ Teknokent, is planned to be expanded across Turkey to benefit both the academic and industrial ecosystems. In this regard, the goal is to carry out integration efforts with various universities, technology parks, and organized industrial zones and to transform the platform into an effective data and solution network that brings together academic expertise and industry needs on a national scale.
