ADU Strengthens Global Academic Network: Important Steps for New Collaborations and International Opportunities

Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) made important contacts to strengthen global academic collaborations by taking part in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo which is among the most prestigious international higher education organizations in the world.

Our university successfully represented our country and our university on the international platform by taking part in the “Study in Türkiye” Pavilion which was established under the coordination of the Turkish National Agency for the Republic of T$1;rkiye Ministry of the Foreign Affairs.

During the fair, student and staff mobilities, Erasmus+ programs, international research partnerships, joint academic projects, double diploma programs and new institutional cooperation opportunities held with many universities and educational institutions from Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

ADU delegation also met with university administrators, international relations experts and representatives of educational institutions from different countries and comprehensive evaluations on the future of internationalization in higher education sustainable academic partnerships and global student mobility.

As a result of the contacts, important steps were taken towards the development of existing collaborations while tangible progress was also made in discussions on new Erasmus+ agreements and institutional partnerships. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent signed cooperation agreements with universities from various countries in order for our students to benefit more from international education opportunities and to improve the academic cooperation of our academics on a global scale.

NAFSA 2026 is extremely productive in terms of increasing international visibility of our university and strengthening efficiency in global academic networks. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent emphasized that internationalization has a critical place inthe development strategies of today's higher education institutions.

Taking part in the world's leading higher education platforms such as NAFSA, increases of international recognition of our university and makes important contributions to the new academic collaborations . Thanks to the meetings we held we had opportunity to strengthen our global cooperation network further. We will continue our activities with determination in order to offer more opportunities to our students and academic personnels at international level.
