As part of the Science Café events organized simultaneously in 81 provinces under the coordination of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) and attended by approximately 150 universities, our university also held its first meetings.
The events organized by our University's Science Communication Office were held in Germencik Mursallı and Karacasu Esençay neighborhoods with high participation. At the program in Mursallı, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sürmen and Head of the Department of Horticulture Prof. Dr. Engin Ertan provided technical information to fig producers. At the meeting in Esençay, our University's Rector's Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal Ramazan Haykıran discussed the historical importance of Karacasu.
Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem, Vice Rector and the Coordinator of the Science Communication Office emphasized the inclusiveness of this organization, while our Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent stated that activities carried out with the mission of disseminating scientific knowledge to the public will continue.
Our university will continue to convey scientific knowledge to society in a simple and understandable language through Science Café events.
