ADU Rises 161 Places in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025

Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) achieved a significant success in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, which evaluate environmentally friendly universities worldwide. Ranked 915th globally last year, ADU rose to 754th place in the 2025 rankings.

High scores in categories such as Setting and Infrastructure (SI – 1155 points), Waste Management (WS – 1425 points), Transportation (TR – 1147.5 points), and Education (ED – 1212.5 points) clearly demonstrate the university’s determined steps toward sustainability.

In its second year of participation in the UI GreenMetric rankings, ADU has continued to rise both nationally and internationally, strengthening its sustainability vision.

Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent stated:
“This rise in the GreenMetric rankings is the result of our environmentally conscious practices and green campus vision. We will continue to carry out sustainability efforts with a holistic approach and work decisively to take this success even further.”
