Based on the results obtained in four different academic fields, our university has been ranked as follows:
Emphasizing that the university has made significant progress in a short period and is making intensive efforts to reach global standards, Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent extended his gratitude to all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this achievement. He stressed that success is the result of consistent effort and a well-planned process.
In the assessment released by URAP in October, which covers data from 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and up to October 2023, nine existing categories were expanded with six new ones, bringing the total to 15 categories, where 2022 data were predominantly used. As a result of this evaluation, our university dropped by seven places in the rankings. Although this period does not coincide with our tenure, the necessary measures were immediately taken to address this decline.
As the ADU administration, our primary goal is to achieve research university status and subsequently establish the necessary infrastructure to be ranked among the world's top universities. In line with this vision, several strategic initiatives have been launched:
Additionally, appointment and promotion criteria have been revised and elevated to higher standards to support ADU’s goal of becoming a research university. Since March 2023, data taken into account in national and international rankings have resulted in upward progress for our university for the first time.
ADU’s success in national and international rankings will continue to rise. This upward momentum serves as a strong motivation for us. Our university will maintain its performance in scientific research, teaching quality, international collaborations, and industry revenues. This achievement will further contribute to a strong academic infrastructure and global education standards. We are committed to taking ADÜ to even greater heights.”*
