Aydın Adnan Menderes University

ADU Builds the University of the Future with Digital Transformation and Innovation

At our university, the digitalization process is not limited to investments in technology, but also includes restructuring education and training methodologies, increasing the digital competencies of academic staff and improving the services offered to students in digital environments.

In this way, the University's goals of increasing its competitiveness on a global scale, equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in the digital world, and assuming a leading role in digital education are being meticulously realized.

Stating that the work carried out at our university in order to be among the digital universities continues in line with the mission and strategic road map determined, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “Our internationalization strategy aims to increase the recognition of our University at the global level. Within the scope of this strategy, we plan to increase the number of international students and academics, take part in international projects and strengthen global collaborations. In this way, we aim to increase the quality of education and research capacity of our University by providing international experiences to our students and academics.”

National and International Stakeholders Learn About ADU with E-Newsletter

Our University, which determined its 2024 vision and strategy as “Being Student Focused”, “Being a Research University”, “Quality in Education and Training”, “Internationalization” and “Digitalization”, started to present news from our University to national and international stakeholders with the E-Bulletin that started to operate. In this context, information messages about the projects carried out at our University are sent monthly to academics and employers in more than 50 countries.

Stating that our university has taken important steps towards becoming a research university, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “Aydın Adnan Menderes University deserves to be a research university. We will continue our work in this direction. We have also planned an effective reputation management process by taking part in the national and international rankings of our university. In this context, we have implemented the 'Accreditation and Rating Office', 'Sustainability Office', and 'Big Data Office' (ADU Data Center and ADU Data Analysis and Statistics Center). The projects we have realized, the studies we are stakeholders in, and the scientific performance of our academics have started to yield results that will carry ADU higher. Our team continues to work on this issue with great discipline.”

Turkey's First and Only VR-Supported Domestic Digital Cadaver was launched

As part of the programs implemented within the scope of the move to support domestic and national production at our university, a study was initiated last year to design a “digital cadaver”. In this context, the “Digital Cadaver” application was implemented within ADU Technopark.

The most important feature of the device, which consists of various layers, is that it has the ability to use the virtual reality and augmented reality system in the best way. On the platform, which is the size of a human, students can see and examine all stages such as muscles, reproduction and digestive system in 3D. Students can study all the systems in the human body in detail and anatomically thanks to this device, and they also have the opportunity to remove the organs one by one and observe them with “VR glasses”.

Stating that the innovative and technology-integrated education system to develop the capacity of qualified human resources constitutes the target point they want to reach since they took office, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “Hopefully, with outputs such as these, we will be a light for our students and guide them on the path of new civilization built together with our valuable companies.”
