Students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) achieved remarkable success at the Interuniversity Indoor Athletics Championship held in Bursa on February 14–15, 2026, delivering an outstanding performance.
Competing among 41 universities in the men’s category and 36 universities in the women’s category, ADU secured the team championship title in both divisions, becoming Türkiye’s overall champion. Throughout the championship, our athletes won a total of 31 medals, including 18 gold, 11 silver, and 3 bronze. With these results, the University proudly celebrated its 100th championship title, crowned with two trophies.
Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent expressed his gratitude to Technical Director and Head Coach Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Güreş, as well as to coaches Lecturer Şahser Güneş and Lecturer Nermin Şentürk, and to all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this achievement. He emphasized that the results once again demonstrated the University’s institutional strength and consistent success in sports.
