The "Addiction Awareness Training", organized for the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of our University, was held between February 24-25, 2025 at the Faculty Conference Hall.
In the training, which aimed to raise awareness against addiction issues in society and strengthen the fight, Narcotics Guides Nilay Evren and Mehmet Vatan from the TUBİM Bureau of the Narcotics Crimes Department provided information about the "Youth Module". The Narcotics Guides shared insights on the "Importance of Combating Narcotic Crimes," "Substance Addiction, Usage, and Effects," "What are Narcotic Substances," "Places Where Drugs are Sold and Used," "Legal Status in Drug Crimes," and "Centers for Combating Substance Use and Addiction."
During the training, participants were informed about the causes, symptoms, and treatment processes of addiction. The destructive effects of addiction on individuals and families were emphasized, along with the importance of early intervention and support mechanisms.
The training concluded with a Q&A session.
