Our university's Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem and Prof. Dr. Cengiz Özarslan, along with Rector’s Advisor and Chief Physician of Our University Hospital, Prof. Dr. Mücahit Avcil, visited the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Health Sciences to conduct an on-site review of the ongoing accreditation process.
During the visit, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Hilmiye Aksu; Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ayden Çoban; Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Cesur; Deputy Chief Physician of Our University Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ali Duman; Deputy Secretary-General, Tanfer Bilge; Workplace Health and Safety Unit Coordinator, Lecturer Muammer Erden; Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Gülay Kandemir; and academic and administrative staff were present.
As part of the visit, laboratories and educational facilities within the faculty buildings were examined, and detailed information on ongoing activities was provided. Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem and Prof. Dr. Cengiz Özarslan also conducted reviews at the Experimental Animal Production and Experimental Research Laboratory and the Pharmacology Laboratory under the Faculty of Medicine, where they discussed future planned projects.
During the evaluations at the Principles of Nutrition Laboratory within the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Simulation Laboratory within the Faculty of Nursing, detailed discussions were held regarding necessary precautions for potential emergencies and planned improvements. In this context, consultations were conducted on workplace health and safety measures in laboratories, safety procedures, health precautions for students and staff, and the integration of new technologies into the education process. Additionally, it was stated that efforts would be accelerated to strengthen accreditation processes in these laboratories and enhance the quality of education.
