Our university ranked 12th in the category of “Universities with the Highest Number of Awards in the Fields of Zero Waste, Green Campus and Environmentalism” according to the YÖK 2024 University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report.
In the report, which was prepared using data from public and independent sources, especially the YÖKSİS database, 201 universities in Türkiye were evaluated according to 64 indicators.
Our University, which seeks different scientific solutions to environmental problems, continues conscious studies on the importance of the environment and why it should be protected, and supports the importance given to nature and green with its scientific studies, ranked 12th among all universities in the fields of “Zero Waste, Green Campus and Environmentalism” within the scope of the report announced.

Stating that our University will continue to develop environmentalist projects and be a pioneer in this field by combining its respect for nature with scientific studies, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent said, “This success is an indicator of our University's determined steps in the field of sustainability. Our commitment to nature and green has an important place not only on our campuses, but also in our research and our understanding of service to society.
