A Quality Initiative in Education by the School of Foreign Languages
Our University's School of Foreign Languages took a significant step towards enhancing education quality by participating in the "Syllabus Design in Practice" training held on February 22, 2025. The session provided theoretical knowledge crucial for program development processes and involved various studies on existing programs.
The training was attended by Vice Director of the School, Lecturer Rıdvan Korkut, Lecturer Bilge Soykut from the Quality and Accreditation Unit, Lecturer Lütfi Saraç from the Program Unit, and Lecturer Dilek Ateş from the Material Development Unit. The session offered comprehensive insights into the preparation of course syllabi and plans.
Acting Secretary General and Director of the School, Prof. Dr. Bertan Akyol, stated:
“This training, which is a critical phase of the accreditation process, marks an essential step towards enhancing the educational quality of our School of Foreign Languages. Such initiatives not only enrich the knowledge base of our academic staff but also contribute to our University's national and international accreditation processes. Program development is one of the fundamental components of our educational framework, and adopting innovative approaches in this area will enable us to provide our students with more qualified and up-to-date education.”
