A Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Our University and the Ministry of Justice's Aydın, Nazilli, and Söke Chief Public Prosecutor’s Offices

On February 6, 2025, a cooperation protocol was signed between our university and the Ministry of Justice's Aydın, Nazilli, and Söke Chief Public Prosecutor’s Offices regarding the preparation and implementation of complementary and supportive development programs for probation officers.

The signing ceremony was attended by our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent; Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor, Ali Ulvi Yılmaz; Acting Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor, Rabia Yücekul Bilek; and Söke Chief Public Prosecutor, Yaşar Özkan.

Within the scope of the protocol, the aim is to support the personal development of individuals under probation and former convicts, thereby preventing recidivism and facilitating their reintegration into society. Planned initiatives will be carried out in all areas deemed appropriate by the parties, ensuring that individuals under probation and former convicts benefit from rehabilitation programs.

Emphasizing that this protocol marks a significant step towards prioritizing social benefit, our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent Kent, stated: “This protocol serves as a valuable example in the fields of education and public services and will contribute to our society. I hope it will inspire similar projects, particularly in justice and public services, and I extend my gratitude to everyone involved.”
