A 329 Percent Increase in the Number of Applications to TÜBİTAK 2209 Program Across Our University

TÜBİTAK conducts 2209 - University Students Research Projects Support Program in order to encourage undergraduate students studying at universities to conduct research through projects and to provide associate degree students with a project preparation culture. While 75 applications were made by our university to the program in 2023, a total of 322 applications were made in 2024, with an increase of 329 percent.

Within the scope of this increase, which is an indication of the increasing interest of our students in research and project-oriented studies, the Faculty of Engineering was included in the program with 60 applications, the Faculty of Agriculture 21 applications, the Faculty of Medicine and Çine Vocational School 18 applications, Söke Faculty of Business Administration 17 applications, Aydın Vocational School and Faculty of Human and Social Sciences 16 applications, Aydın Health Services Vocational School 14 applications, Faculty of Science 13 applications, Faculty of Political Sciences 12 applications, Söke Health Services Vocational School 10 applications, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sports Sciences and Faculty of Nursing 9 applications, Köşk Vocational School, Nazilli Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Germencik Vocational School 8 applications, Kuşadası Davutlar Vocational School 7 applications, Sultanhisar Vocational School 6 applications, Karacasu Vocational School, Faculty of Dentistry and Nazilli Vocational School 5 applications, Bozdoğan Vocational School and Söke Vocational School 4 applications, Nazilli Health Vocational School, Yenipazar Vocational School and Faculty of Education 3 applications, State Conservatory, Didim Vocational School, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Koçarlı Vocational School 2 applications, Kuyucak Vocational School, Atça Vocational School and Faculty of Communication made 1 application.

Project and R&D Coordinator Inst. Dr. Kemalettin Ağızan stated that this significant increase in the number of applications to the TÜBİTAK 2209 Program is an indicator of the importance our University attaches to scientific research and the determination of our students to adopt the project culture.
